Is your child leaving Freyberg? Are you moving out of the area?

Please let us know! If you are moving or your child will be enrolling at a new primary school in the New Year, please notify the office staff. We are currently in the very early process of finalising classes for next year and this will enable us to have accurate numbers for classes in 2021.

Classroom organisation for 2021

Due to significant roll growth we are unable to accommodate parent requests for teachers/specific classes for 2021. However, if you have information regarding your child's learning that may be valuable in placement we would encourage you to contact our senior management staff - Ms Maria Dopheide if your child is a Year 0 - 2, Ms Emma-lea Graaf if your child is a Year 3 - 4, or Mr Matt Allely if your child is a Year 5 - 6 student next year.

Our senior management staff will try to assist as best as they can.

Freyberg Fun Run

Last Friday afternoon over 600 Fun Run prizes were handed to students who had gained sponsorship in our recent fundraiser.

Unfortunately there were a few items not included in this delivery. If your child was expecting to receive their plasma ball, rainbow lava lamp, smartphone, lenova tablet or bike we can assure you that we are expecting a delivery any day now and will ensure these items are handed out as soon as they arrive.

We have included a picture of our top fundraiser Anja Pritchard and again wish to thank our amazing students and their whānau for their support!
We are thrilled and humbled with the response of our community - thank you again!

Photolife Class Photographs - Thursday 19th November

Class photographs will be taken for all classes. Photographing will begin promptly at 9 a.m. in the school hall beginning with the junior classes.

As was the arrangement in past years - payment for school photos is by pre-order only. Should you wish to order a photo please return the personalised order form (sent home last Wednesday) with the correct cash/cheque/internet payment (direct to Photolife) to the school office.

Photographs cannot be paid for using eftpos in the school office. If paying by cash please ensure you have the correct money.
Photolife will be collecting all prepaid orders at the conclusion of class photos.

Last day for pre-ordering these photos is Wednesday 18th November.
NO LATE ORDERS will be taken after this date.

Our fantastic Room 13 class teacher
Mr Tevaga recently competed at the
World Powerlifting New Zealand Nationals.

We have heard a whisper that he achieved personal bests in the Bench Press, Deadlift and Squat and was placed 2nd overall in the Open Mens Division. WOW - how cool is that!

Congratulations Mr T!

We know you have been training super hard and we are thrilled with your result, as no doubt you must be. We are super proud of you Mr T!

This week is Road Safety Week!

To celebrate we are having a Wheels Day and Mufti day this Friday the 13th November!

Wear KOWHAI/YELLOW clothing, wear a yellow ribbon in your hair, spray your hair yellow, be bright and be seen!

The Mufti and Wheels Day is free!

The wheels that can be brought to school are as follows:
Scooters, roller skates/roller blades, skateboards, dolls prams, remote control cars. Unfortunately NO BIKES as there is not enough safe space for lots of bikes on the courts. Helmets should be worn on scooters, roller skates/roller blades and skateboards.

We will also be running a Road Safety poster competition. There will be some prizes for the best designs.
The theme for this competition is 'Step up for safe streets'.

Check out the Auckland Harbour Bridge which will be lit up yellow this week
for Road Safety Week.

Children's Artwork Calendars - Online Ordering Only

This is one of our last fundraising ventures for the year. Children have been busy creating wonderful art suitable to be made into calendars, diaries, greeting cards etc.

Personalised order forms were sent home last Friday. To view your child's picture and order products go to www.kidsartworks.com and type in your child's personalised code which is found at the bottom of your child's order form.

Please note that the last day to
place any orders is Sunday 22nd November.

We will shortly be renewing the advertising section of our emailed newsletters. The newsletters are used throughout the year to keep our families and school community informed regarding school activities.
